IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading from a release prior to 4.2.5, please refer also to the 4.2.5 Release Notes, as a large quantity of changes, corrections, and enhancements were included in that release. Also, read the 4.2.6 Release Notes, 4.2.7 Release Notes, and 4.2.8 Release Notes. As always, it is highly recommended that you review the Release Notes for all intermediate releases if you are not upgrading incrementally.
SPECIAL NOTE: APPX Release 4.2.8 and those that follow include the new 0AI (Application Installer) application. It is designed to support automated installation of the Open Source Business Applications. Existing customers currently have no need for application 0AI and can safely ignore it.
Bug #1761: Memory leak in RDBMS READ operations
- This bug was previously reported as fixed, but additional symptoms had surfaced.
- Those symptoms have been fixed in 4.2.9.
Bug #1811: Missing ODB Lock error
- APPX was still erroneously looking for the ODB product license when attempting to connect to SQL Server.
- Fixed for 4.2.9.
Bug #1812: ILF Editor throws error incorrectly
- If you have a field name where the file name portion was longer than 6 characters, and you tried to make it the target of a CNV TEXT field where the source is a date field, the ILF editor will complain with 'Error - Alpha Field Type Required'.
- Fixed for 4.2.9.
Bug #1824: Internal Error when PrintOnScreen Disposition cancelled
- An 'Internal Error Has Occurred' message appeared if you printed a PDF report (Print On Screen = Y) and then canceled the PrintOnScreen disposition input process.
- This is the same as Bugs #1189 and #1800.
- Fixed for 4.2.9.
Bug #1831: Disposition not honored when printing to client
- When local printing through the client is selected, the print disposition of SAVE does not save the print file in the PRINT/USR directory on the server. The file is deleted.
- Fixed for 4.2.9.
Bug #1832: FLEP on memory file interferes with scrolling input process
- If you define a File Level Event Point on a memory file and then use that memory file as the PCF of a scrolling input process, the input process can get wacked. The symptom varies, but after adding a record, the input process will probably display some sort of nonsense (illegal values).
- Fixed for 4.2.9.
