LinuxWorld New York 2003

It's APPX in the Apple!

APPX Software once again exhibited and won recognition at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo in New York City, January 22-24, 2003. The bi-annual show drew its largest crowd ever to the Jacob Javits Convention Center in midtown Manhattan, and there was constant activity at the APPX booth for the entire three day event.

This was the fourth consecutive LinuxWorld that APPX participated in, beginning in August 2001 in San Francisco. We were at LinuxWorld New York a year ago, and back in San Francisco this past summer. Each time, APPX has featured our Linux Promotion, through which we are giving away free, full-featured, permanent single-user APPX/Linux licenses. Well over a thousand users from 83 different countries have taken advantage of this promotion, download APPX, and obtained registrations.

As at the last LinuxWorld Expo in San Francisco, APPX was a finalist in the Open Source Product Excellence Awards, with APPX 4.1.a selected in "Best Developer Tools". These recognitions by independent judges confirms APPX's standing in the Linux community and the software industry at large.

In New York, APPX featured the newly revised APPX Financials, and there was plenty of interest among the attendees, many of whom are now seeking to run their business applications on Linux platforms. That bodes well for the future, as few if any competitors can match the long history, innate flexibility, and database connectivity that APPX offers. We optimistically look forward to continued and increased success at the next LinuxWorld in San Francisco.
